There is still some tweaks to be done in Sanjan's room but it will take sometime. I have realized one thing that it takes time for the room or house to evolve to your liking and comfort. I did have few impulse purchases, did go through buyer's remorse but nothing that I regret about or can not be changed.
Now you get to see Sanjan's room the way it is now. This is how it looks when you enter through his door. He gets lot of sunlight all through the day. Yes, that's a dream catcher on the ceiling.
I painted the dresser last weekend to match the frame on the wall.
This is the only wall that has no windows or doors. The left side has a window and on the right is his closet. I am clicking this below picture from his bathroom door.
An antique frame which was gold color, I spray painted to green.
The table and chair are at the foot of his bed. The table was white which I painted navy blue. Painted the wall shelves also the same navy blue to coordinate.
I am happy to have made use of the Ikea fabric for curtains.
I have plans to change this whole set up but I need to sell this table and chair on Mr. Craig's list. Will surely update you all.
This is when facing the door to the room. Sanjan's closet has his clothes, books, toys and knick knacks of kid of his age. Will have a separate post on his closet.
An Ikea frame painted to match the stripes. Used an old file as backing for the red.
I have couple of posts still on this room. What did you like the most in this room? I liked the frame. The least time I spent was on that but it still is my favorite. Mr.Tweaks likes the stripe wall. Yes, the same one he asked me not to paint. Sanjan says he likes everything in his room. He knows what makes his mama happy...very happy.

DeleteLooks fantastic! I saw your picture at Domestically Speaking and had to come over - it's great to get ideas for boys rooms, I find they're nearly always for girls!
ReplyDeleteCatherine, Thank you for dropping by. I agree there are not many ideas for boy's room. Not at least 3 years ago.
DeleteI am in love with those stripes and the colors you chose for them!
ReplyDeleteThank you. Sometimes, I feel I should have stuck with 2 colors, red & yellow and should not have added the green. Have a great weekend.
