IF OUTFITS COULD INSPIRE: COBALT BLUE

Cobalt blue is a deep, rich blue color and considered a bold in Interior design world. But an Indian is no stranger to cobalt blue or any colors for that matter.
It is one of the royal color that an Indian might pick to wear for festivities or weddings.

This cobalt blue with peacock motif in gold and red border anarkali is Abu Jani & Sandeep Khosla creation.

How can you use cobalt blue in your interiors without feeling overwhelmed with it?

Naomi from Design Manifest painted just one wall of her home in this rich color. She paired it with a hot pink desk too. And then she went with frames, dresser, lamp and posters/painting with white base.

She toned-down the color by painting rest of the room in white and making the cobalt blue wall a statement.

You love the color but do not want to go big? Try on a dresser or console.

Console

If the color appeals to you and not afraid of it, then go big. But pair rest of the furniture's in white or cream. Add drama to the space with red, hot pink or gold.

You can start with something small, like a painting, cushions, a vase or books with cobalt blue sleeves.
